On 6 December 2022, at approximately 0130 hours local time, local police responded to a restaurant in Rotterdam after an explosive device was functioned at the establishment, shattering the building’s windows. No injuries were reported. No further device details have been released. Authorities are investigating the link between this attack and other restaurants of the same chain that have been targeted with shootings and explosive attacks in Dordrecht, Rotterdam, and The Hague over the past few weeks.
Oklahoma: BMM Discovered in Employee’s Work Locker

On 5 December 2022, Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) officers found bomb-making material (BMM) in the work locker of a 52-year-old Minnesota man who was arrested on 2 December at a warehouse in Oklahoma City following a disturbance call. No further details about the BMM have been released. OCPD officers also found drugs in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect, who initially hid in the warehouse and resisted arrest, will be extradited to Minnesota and faces drug and eluding charges.

On 6 December 2022, at approximately 0700 hours local time, an IED emplaced inside a cart by the side of the road functioned near a government bus that was transporting employees to work during morning rush hour in Mazar-e Sharif, killing eight people and injuring nine others. No further device details have been released. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the investigation is ongoing.
