On 8 November 2022, at approximately 1440 hours local time, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a residence on West Highway 25/70 after an 18-year-old suspect functioned an IED described as a device made from gunpowder in an attempt to blow up a tree stump. No further device details were provided. The suspect sustained flash burns to his face and arms when the device functioned after he lit it. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7 November 2022, at approximately 0300 hours local time, the FBI, San Antonio Police Department, and San Antonio Fire Department responded to West Commerce Street in San Antonio following an explosion at the base of a statue. According to media reporting, security footage shows a suspect placing two paint cans underneath the statue and walking away before both cans exploded, damaging the lower half of the head-shaped sculpture and its concrete base. On 5 November 2022, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) deputies responded to an auto parts store in Parkland after an employee discovered a pipe bomb, described as “a metal pipe capped at both ends and wrapped in tape”, inside a duffle bag near the store. According to deputies, the device had a blast similar to a hand grenade. No further device details were released. PCSD Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist, relocated the device to the department’s firing range, and rendered it safe. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7 November 2022, an organized student movement threw improvised incendiary devices (IIDs) and pyrotechnics during a protest at the Double Overpass of the North Poniente Bypass construction site in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, seizing machinery and equipment. No further device details have been released and no injuries were reported. The protesters also threatened the construction workers and passing motorists on the road.
