On 9 March 2023, at approximately 1100 hours local time, Toledo Police Department officers responded to a waste management facility after an unknown person dropped off bomb-making material (BMM), described as "two metal cans" labeled "picric acid," at the facility. The Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad technicians responded to assist, removed the material from the scene, and rendered it safe via a controlled detonation in an empty field. The investigation is ongoing.

On 12 March 2023, at approximately 2000 hours local time, a large group of unidentified suspects threw improvised incendiary devices (IIDs), described as Molotov cocktails, at a toll booth at the exit of Caceres and Caucasia, targeting the National Army of Colombia. Local firefighters arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported, but the attack caused damage to the toll booth. No further device details have been released.
