On 14 February 2023, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 51-year-old male suspect in Arizona in connection to a 28 January 2023 incident where the suspect reportedly functioned an explosive device near the Thousand Oaks, California residence of his ex-girlfriend before returning to Arizona. No further device details were released, and no injuries were reported.
The suspect was charged with stalking and using an explosive device.

On 16 February 2023, at approximately 0130 hours local time, Montreal police (SPVM) responded to a freight transportation business in Saint Laurent after an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a Molotov cocktail, was thrown through a window, starting a fire. No further device details have been released. Local firefighters extinguished the blaze and investigators found remnants of the IID inside. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

On 14 February 2023, at approximately 0730 hours local time, a roadside IED functioned as a Border Patrol Unit vehicle enroute to Garissa town drove over it, killing three police officers and a fourth individual. No further device details have been released. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 14 February 2023, at approximately 1500 hours local time, Fairview Park Police Department officers responded to the parking lot of a Fairview Park shopping mall after a construction contractor reported that he discovered bomb-making material (BMM) in a construction container that “combined could create an explosion.” Westshore Enforcement Bureau’s Hazardous Materials Disposal Unit responded to assist and removed the BMM. No further details on the BMM were provided. The investigation is ongoing.
