On 25 February 2023, Gardai officers responded to a housing estate in Loughrea, Galway, after an improvised incendiary device (IID), described as a petrol bomb, was thrown through a window of one of the homes, causing fire damage to the house and a vehicle parked in the driveway. On 27 February, an IID was thrown at a second home in the same housing estate, causing fire damage. No further device details have been released, and no injuries were reported in either incident. The investigations are ongoing.

On 27 February 2023, at approximately 2020 hours local time, Hialeah Police Department officers responded to a residence on West 54th Street after a man found an object in a tin can that appeared to be a grenade. The tin can, reportedly inherited from a friend that had recently passed away, was examined by authorities, and confirmed to contain a grenade. The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Bomb Disposal Unit responded to the assist and determined that the device was inert and removed it from the scene for safe disposal.

On 27 February 2023, at approximately 1200 hours, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers responded to a fast-food restaurant in Kelowna, British Columbia, after a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk in front of the building discovered a pipe bomb, described as being eight inches long and two inches wide. The RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit responded to assist and determined the device was viable, before rendering it safe onsite. No injuries were reported, and no further device details were provided. The investigation is ongoing.
Ecuador: Explosive Devices Functioned Outside Residence and Police Station

On 27 February 2023, local police in Esmeraldas responded to a report of an explosive device that functioned outside a residence on Luis Tello Street in the Las Palmas sector. A second explosion occurred outside the Community Police Unit of Tonsupa in the Atacames Canton. No injuries were reported in either incident, and no further device details have been released.
