South Africa: BMM Seized from Residence, 2 Arrested

On 26 February 2023, at approximately 1100 hours, Krugersdorp Police Department officers responded to a tip that suspects were selling explosives at a residence on Sivewright Street. When police arrived at the residence, they discovered bomb-making material (BMM), described as seven cap fuse cables, two detonator cords, and four tubes of power gel. No further BMM details have been released. Two suspects, a 43-year-old male and a 48-year-old female, were arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
